Russian General Staff: U.S. Behind All Recent And Ongoing Armed Conflicts Across The Globe

Sputnik: US ‘Masterminds’ All Present-Day Military Conflicts – Russian General Staff

The United States and their allies have used military force more than 50 times over the past decade, with six US operations ending in local armed conflicts.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The United States is behind all recent and ongoing armed conflicts across the globe, a senior Russian General Staff official said Friday.

"The United States has single-handedly masterminded all military conflicts. Today the Western countries have positioned themselves as the main 'architects' of the international relations and the United States as the only superpower in the world," Lt. Gen. Andrei Kartapolov, the head of the General Staff's Main Operations Directorate, said.

Kartapolov added that the US role as the world's leading nation was part of US President Barack Obama's updated national security strategy, released in February.

Update: Washington started all modern military conflicts - Russia’s General Staff -- RT

WNU Editor: The Russian General Staff is giving the U.S. to much credit in being able to be the "masterminds" for all present day conflicts .... from my vantage point I see the opposite .... a U.S. that is inconsistent in policy while stumbling in many of the world's hotspots. And while the General Staff's Main Operations Directorate believes that the U.S. has defined its policy objectives and what should be its global role very clearly .... I do not see it .... in fact .... I find the White House is primarily reacting to events instead of initiating them.

WNU Editor,

It's more that the US "starts" fights, it can't win, or more relatively, has no "plans" to win.

Lybia is a perfect example, and Yemen is becoming one.

USA stats EVERYTHING.

RUSSIA starts nothing.

Russian was just standing around in 1979 when it got dragged kicking and screaming into Afghanistan.

I have it on good authority that on December 27, 1979 grown Spetsnaz operators were dragged kicking and screaming to Soviet airfields by American Green Berets and CIA operatives flown by CIA analysts.

You might wonder why CIA analysts were flying Russian planes. Well if you think about there was a shortage of CIA field operatives and Green Berets! A CIA field operative or Green Berets can man handle a Spetsnaz operator onto a plane, but they are not superhuman. It take one of them to frog march each Operator onto a plane. There were just no enough, so desk types from Langley had to be trained as pilots and fill in

So back to our history lesson.

The operators were unceremoniously dumped at Kabul operators and the CIA field agents would not let them back on the plane. They agents just stood there with eh arms crossed or waving their index finger 'telling' the Operators NO!

What was a poor operator to do?

They made the best out of their predicament.

On the night of December 27, 1979 Spetsnaz was running here, there, everywhere in Kabul seeing the sights, taking pictures and shopping in markets. There are no touristas who are more dedicated or who can outshop a Russian operator.

"The United States has been supporting anti-Soviet forces (mujahideen) as early as mid-1979.[79] Billions in cash and weapons, which included over two thousand FIM-92 Stinger surface-to-air missiles, were provided by the United States and Saudi Arabia to Pakistan."

Of course it was the US and everyone loved the USSR and no one else did nuthin'.

The British did not provide Blowpipe Man portable surface to air missiles and neither did the Peoples Republic of China.

"But it does not perform as well as Stingers or Blowpipe, a British equivalent, supplied to the Afghan resistance." - NYT

See the Brits did nuthin' about nuthin' Innocent!

The PRC never did nuthin' about nuthin' either.

"China and the USSR were enemies ever since the Sino-Soviet split in the 60's. Basically they competed over influence in the 3rd world and they differed over ideology (meaning they called each other revisionists) especially with changes in leaders in the USSR after Stalin, The Maoists and Marxist-Leninist camps had a falling out. That's why China pretty much became aligned with the US ever since the end of the Vietnam War.

If you didn't know, China supported Pol Pot when the Vietnamese overthrew his regime. This made China angry and they invaded Vietnam in 1979, killing tens of thousands. 1979 was also the year the Soviet War in Afghanistan began. China by this time had become more capitalist and aligned itself with the US in foreign policy much more often than the USSR. Therefore, seeing the Soviet moves in Afghanistan, a bordering country to both of these superpowers, they decide to assist the mujaheddin and their pals in Pakistan, Iran, NATO, etc. by arming and funding them. So by getting a bunch of people to yell Allah Akbar and blow things up, they destabilized the region, therefore undermining the foreign policy of the USSR"

Must be nice being a Lefty Canadian or Euro trash and standing in the shadow of the other 5 EYES.

I am reminded of comedic moments in film when some protagonist or other character faces off against numerous antagonists and they back away or flee. The protagonist assumes it is all him. They never say the big guy behind him.

In this case it is not so much the protagonist making the antagonists back down is as the protagonists is getting preach and moralizing.

Pakistan is not a player either.

They never did nuthin' about nuthin'

"Gulbuddin Hekmatyar received operational, financial and military support from Pakistan."

"From 1995 to 2001, the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence and military are widely alleged by the international community to have provided support to the Taliban."

"Pakistan is accused by many international officials of continuing to support the Taliban; Pakistan states that it dropped all support for the group after 9/11."

No, it is a fact jack that only evil superpowers do anything. Ask any mind full of mush on a college campi.

The Taliban never did nuthin' about nuthin'

The Taliban and their allies committed massacres against Afghan civilians, denied UN food supplies to 160,000 starving civilians and conducted a policy of scorched earth, burning vast areas of fertile land and destroying tens of thousands of homes during their rule from 1996 to 2001

"According to the United Nations, the Taliban and their allies were responsible for 75% of Afghan civilian casualties in 2010, 80% in 2011, and 80% in 2012."

You won't see A.N.S.W.E.R., Peace Action, Code Pink, Cindy Sheehan or the other astroturf out much during a a Democrat presidency or out protesting the Taliban in Pakistan.

These are smart astroturfers. They know who they can safely protest against. They do not want to get Warren Weinsteined by protesting the Taliban too much and they would never contemplate flying to Pakistan and marching.

They might fly into Islamabad hold a symbolic march while surrounded by thousands of Pakistani troops protecting their hineys. That is if the government allowed it so as to make the U.S. look bad.

But it would be a one-off and grandstanding to make the U.S. look bad.

No, Taliban never did nuthin' about nuthin' and the handwringers of the Left will not overly protest them. They want to stay breathing.

Winding up, Obama tosses zingers at press, political foes

http://news.yahoo.com/political-barbs-celebrity-gazing-main-course-dc-dinner-124120551--politics.html

Barack Obama is a funny guy.

Could we get compromise on immigration?

Like a border fence that would stop 90% of the 300,000 border crossers and then give blanket amnesty?

No! that would be compromise and the F______ ___ DNC does not do that.

The same with Climate regulations.
Do we need any? The problem with Obama is not the ahrdware upstairs. they problem with Obama is the malware he has loaded into the hardware.

He was miseducated. In the humanities depending on your profs and your politics you can BS your way to a degree. You cannot do so in the hardsciences (STEM). You cannot do so in programming. It either words or it doesn't.

Yes Obama's and Michelle's records are sealed, because if we saw the drivel they wrote in college, the pesoids would be angry.
