Fighting Breaks Out in E. Ukraine City of Donetsk -- Voice of America/Reuters
DONETSK, UKRAINE — Explosions rocked the eastern Ukraine city of Donetsk Monday as government troops sought to reclaim control of the rebel stronghold, marking the first heavy fighting since Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down last week.
Intense shelling was reported near the rail station. The AFP news agency said that terrified civilians were fleeing the city, though local authorities warned them to stay indoors.
Sergei Kavtaradze, a leader of the pro-Russian separatists, said Ukrainian government forces were trying to break into the city with at least four tanks and armored vehicles.

Are the pro-Russians going to lose Luhansk and Donetsk or can they keep the cities and reclaim ground? I myself are unsure because which of the sides will have the best chance to reclaim more cities in the long term? Is it the Ukrainians or can the pro-Russians bounce back and retake Sloviansk and Kramatorsk?

Are there any evidence that Ukraine might have shooten down the passanger plane? Since my dad (He is from Norway and as me he does not know anybody in Ukraine) belive this conflict is all Putins fault. Its a bit special how the pro-Russians are behaving, because its very disrespectfull to loot dead inocent civilians and then move them in trains to a unknown location. But i dont know mutch from the Russian and pro-Russian perspective since my news are mostly just pro-Ukraine. They dont even mention Right sector and Svaboda. The SBU where Bezlers team found a airplane was real Bezler confirmed it was him on the phone call but that they did not spoke about the passenger plain.

If USA sends CIA observators to the crash-site how will the pro-Russians behave? If there is violence from them against the CIA people and somone of them got killed can that increase the risk of a dirct confrontation between Russian and USA?

Do you have any media to recomand so i can view the Russian version of whats happening without the propaganda? (i mostly use RT but is there somthing else with more "depth"?

Are the local population in Donetsk and Lugansk support the seperatists looting the airplane?

How bad is the economic situration in Ukraine? Can it affect the military on short term? Can Ukraine go bankrupt?

Is there any risk of Poroshenko solving the conflict with diplomacy and compromise?

How mutch does the population in eastern Ukraine want independence? Can they last long against Kiev or will they lose the war and begin a partisan movment?

How is it in the Kiev ocupied areas in Ukraine? Are the locals suporting the military or are they hostile toward each other? Can the locas begain to cease buildings again?

This massive assult on Donetsk how long will it take for kiev to "liberate" the city or can the pro-Russians stop them?
Its a ton of questions but answers help me understand the more "refined" aspects of the crisis since i dont know anyone who lives there.
1) I personally believe that the Ukraine military will eventually take these cities .... they have the men and weapons to do it. The problem will be winning the peace. They will be perceived as an occupying power .... and like Northern Ireland for much of the 20th century .... eastern Ukraine will be a problem for Kiev.
2) I personally believe that the separatists shot down the plane .... but .... one can never discount that Ukraine may have accidentally shot down the plane. As to who should be blamed for this civil war .... Putin does deserve some blame .... but the biggest blame rests with the Ukrainian nationalists who started this mess in March.
3) The CIA is not going to make their presence public.
4) The best Russian media that I have found on the conflict is in social media .... but you need to understand Russian.
5) The times are very desperate in eastern Ukraine right now .... everyone is doing anything to survive .... even looting dead bodies.
6) Ukraine is already bankrupt. Unemployment .... especially for those under the age of 30 .... is reaching depression levels.
7) Poroshenko has never been interested in diplomacy or negotiation .... and that is the problem.
8)A few months ago i would put the number who want independence in eastern Ukraine at around 5%-10%. In March .... when the war started .... the number was around 30% - 40%. Today .... around 70%.
9) There is a lot of hostility between the civilian population and the Ukraine military. Especially in places like Slovyansk.
